Spektrum DX3S problem
#1
Ok guys, I need some help. I have a new Spektrum DX3S, and using it with my Slash everything works fine as it should. Wanted to use it also to control all my nitro rigs, I wired up a rx, binded it, and went through all my setups for steering and throttle. The steering works fine, however, the throttle servo seems be receiving mixed signals as the servo doesn't move freely and makes noise. The servo is good, and have tried other servos and they do the same thing. The sr330t rx is good also, and I've tried a different rx, having the same results. Anyone have any insight as to why I'm having problems with the throttle and brake servo? Everything works fine on the steering input on the rx, but nothing will work correctly on the throttle and brake servo.
Thanks!!!
Thanks!!!

Is this with the servo arm connected to the throttle/brake linkage? If so, remove the arm and see if the servo travels normally. It sounds like a binding in the linkage rather than a servo issue.
Throttle/brake linkages can be pretty difficult to set up properly and have a lot of possibility for rubbing/binding. Often there is an issue with the linkage screw through the servo arm hitting the top of the servo if not shimmed correctly.

No, this is the throttle / brake servo with nothing attached to it. At first, I thought I had a bad servo. But the servos work correctly if attached to the steering on the rx input. It's got to be something with the tx itself. I have no idea why it would work perfectly in my Traxxas Slash 4x4, servo driven steering and ESC driven throttle and brake, and not work in a setup for nitro, where you have two independent servos........
