Have a look at the Associated RC18B2 and T2 thread. They're good cars after you adjust the belt to not be so tight; check out Thomas P's B2 he posted on that thread

I would say the Detta SC. Love this truck one of the best rc rtrs I have ever bought.

Hands down the Vendetta series cars/trucks. Most people will tell you you need the steel cvd's and ball diffs, but I beg to differ. I never needed either and i'm running brushless 10.5 on 2 cells.

Then your not running it hard enough....
You definitely need the CVDs for the ST The cvds have the longest length and the plastic will flex distort and come apart if you run BL.

The ball diffs help you smooth out the truck and if they are set right they will slip enough to keep you from stripping spurs when jumping.

The RC18T2 has its issues as well. I happen to have both and I enjoy them.
Are they perfect...NO but when one breaks I have the othger to play with while I wait for parts....

All the open wheeled vehicles will benefit from metal CVDs....
Whatever platform you choose be ready to spend $$$

I drive pretty hard but I am not reckless. Sure you get the occasional break but replacements are cheap. I rather spend 40 bucks and have 50 spares than 80 on 4 in my opinion.
