Default Traction Compounds, and where to get them?

Slowly getting pulled into the nightmare of 1/10 on-road set-up I am now after traction compounds. Trouble is LHS is out of the second choice of compound and I can't find places that ship the first choice or have in stock. I am after Corally 'Jack the Gripper' TC2 and 'Asphalt Jack' TC5 and the highly recommended FX II.

Do they really do that much? What do they do?

Used the right way addatives can make you up to a full second faster over a lap. FX2 is a decent compound but can also enhance problems wih your setup. Tire Tweak is always a safe bet a recently Rhienhard is proving very fast. You can pm Ryan Maker about getting Rhienhard and advice on how to use it. Other than that try rc-market for pretty much everything useful.

Thanks, What do they actually do? Are they softening the rubber, if so why not just go a softer tyre?

There was a really good article in a recent Racing Lines about how the different traction compounds work and how they affect the tires... I can't remember which right now but I am sure someone in your local club will have it if you don't

Tyre Tweak and Marc Rhiehnard seem to be the flavour around our tracks.
