Default thermal shut down stage two

I have a 1/16 slash and it went into thermal shut down and after about a hour of letting it sit, I plug battery in I turn it on everything is cold I turn it on and the light is green but as soon as I turn the receiver on it starts flashing a fast red which the manual says its in thermal shut down, does one have to reset something or its just suppose to reset when the ESC and motor cools down? thanks Scott

If it is indeed thermal shutdown, it should reset once it cools down. You mentioned that you turned the ESC on first, then the receiver. I think it is unlikely this is your problem, but you should always turn your radio on first, then the ESC.
