Engine Troubles
Ok so I am a newb and I don't know how to tune an engine so I need help. I just got my truggy out for the first time this year and I put it on the starter box and it fired right up but it was idling very high so I shut the engine off and I turned the idle screw down to see if that would help. I put it back on the box and started it up again and it did the same thing.
What can I do to fix this??
any help is greatly appreciated

Don't shut your engine off work the idle while your engine is on. Which way are you turning your idle screw to turn the idle down?

it was but i noticed that it was before I started it up so i adjusted it
i am turning it left/out as my manual shows me to which should lower the RPMs but it isn't

maybe your throttle linkage and such is not set right and neutrel position is open too much

maybe left air ?

What should the neutral position be?
I will try leaning out the low speed needle to see if that helps any but do I have to make the adjustment to the LSN when it is running?

Neobart's suggestion was that your LSN was too rich. To be honest, I'm more guessing it's lean. That would also explain why your idle screw does not solve the issue.

how can i measure the idle gap?
