If at all possible, look into a revo 3.3 . You will be much happier in the end. I started out with a t-maxx 3.3 but it just wasn't as capable as my friends revo 3.3 . It seemed like every time the tires left the ground for more than a couple inches it would break a bulkhead, or control arm. It was ok for bashing, but since I sold it and got a revo I haven't replaced anything and I setup a 4 foot jump in my front yard to send it off.

all i can say at the moment is that i am getting the t maxx for under $200. so if bulk heads are a prob ill get the bulk heads and braces from rpm. also i am thinking of getting the tru trak and front a arms from rpm as well

If you have your heart set on a t-maxx I would suggest upgrading all of the center chassis and leaving the a-arms plastic. It will break/bend so it's easier to change arms than a bent bulkhead. I would also suggest some sort of roll cage if it's your first truck as you will land upside down a few times and the engine is the highest point. The maxx will be a fun basher, just needs upgrades. If it's all metal it's just going to break like plastic so remember to give it a weak point that is easy and or cheap to replace.

Do what he said with the chassis and just get all the rpm stuff. Than you should be fine with the rest of your stuff.
