+1 on this.

Steve and I were having a chat recently, just after he received a delivery of pipes that were made "very incorrectly". Having been in manufacturing for 20 years, I can completely relate to the frustration of thinking a design is sufficiently error proofed, then having the production line build it totally out of whack.

Rest assured folks....when the pipe does finally hit the market, it will be of the best possible quality. It bites to keep seeing the delivery date pushed back, but it's a necessary evil at times. Personally, I'd rather wait for something to be done right, than get it sooner and have it all jacked up.

Same here...8.5-9 min with a 2050 in buggy. 97t w/ 7mm on OD 30% and stock head shims.

Ran a Speed last year and only have about 1/2 gallon through the OD, but am impressed with everything except the run time. Definitely smooth and easy to drive a clean line.

Hopefully the OD pipe will give some more mileage!

Default ss break in

I will receive my 2nd ss.21 today. I will start my break-in on both cars this weekend. With all the good feedback I'm pretty excited to see these motors run. Of the pipes I currently own Steve suggested the jp-2 on buggy and jp-1 on truggy. What carb restrictor and runtimes are people getting with these pipes?

thanks,
steve

I have been reading up on this mill and am interested in stickig it in my truggy, but I see the pipe of choice in triggy os JP1. Is that because it lacks the low end? That is what I am concerned about. Can o hear from a few truggy guys?

I dont have a Truggy, But run the engine. And I think it has plenty of power all around. very smooth, and very easy to tune. Dont know much about Nitro Mils but I think this 3 port can keep up with the rest.

Major major major screw up. I literally f#$% my engine up. My engine had only 2 gallons on it and ran like a champ. I was replacing the bearings the other day and was having great difficulty getting the rear bearing out. I heated with heat gun and also used the oven method. The inner part of bearing came out leaving nothing but outer ring. I heated and beat the crap out of the crank case to get it out. Finally it fell out. When I reinstalled the bearings and then the piston and sleeve I notice I could not rotate it all the way. I freaking dented the bottom of the crank case while trying to get out bearing. I tried a thousand times. It is dented exactly where I was beating the case while it was steaming hot to remove bearing. A new crank case is like buying a new engine. I f$%# a excellent engine. Will never make that dumb azz mistake again.
