ESC or Motor Problem
#1
My Blitz has a Sidewinder with the 4600kv motor running on 2s lipos. After a 5 minute run, it would not move like it hit the LVC. Checked my setting and everything is set properly. Put a fresh pack in and still no movement. Next day tried it out again and same thing happened. Worked for couple of minutes then stop moving. Figured the ESC was bad so I put in a brand new Mamba Max Pro. Ran good for 10 minutes then same problem has the Sidewinder happened. Is it my settings or is my motor bad. Here is my settings:
Reverse Lockout
50% Brake
50% Reverse
Punch High
Drag Brake Off
Dead Band 0.10000
Auto Lipo Cutoff
Low Timing also tried normal timing
Brushless Motor

Only thing I've seen -measure batt voltage, then hook it up and turn rc on - measure voltage at the motor leads - if esc is OK, it will be nearly full batt voltage, if not, then you have a prob with esc. If you have full voltage, then its supposed to be a motor prob.
You can also check to see if there's continuity between phases across the motor wires. Anything other than continuity is a prob with the windings. Since yours are runninmg briefly, I suspect its a prob elsewhere.
Have you tried running this at a lower punch than 100% since you've been having the prob? I would call Castle and see what they could suggest -

do you have the bullet connectors from the esc to the motor? mine did when i bought it and i had the same exact issues and after calling cc they told me to remove the bullets and direct solder, after i did no more issues.

Turns out after days of headaches, one of the bullet connectors was loose. Opened it up a bit and works perfectly. Going to cut off the bullet connectors and direct solder them.
