Default Charging multiple batteries???

Hey guys,

I have a SJ supernova competition charger
This one - http://www.rchobbies.com.au/store/pr...oducts_id=7219

and a seperate little balancer (dont know the brand).

Is there some way i can balance charge multiple batteries at once. My crawler batteries are only 1100mAh so will only need a total of about 4.4amps but how do i set it up to charge? Is there a balancer i can get that has multiple 2S or 3S connections?

thanks
Alex

Balancing while charging multiple batts is the problem. Its possible to have a short through a balance connector rigged for multiple batteries. I don't know of any balancer that comes setup to do multiple batts - chargers - yes, but not a separate standalone balancer.

Series charging of multiple batts is also an option and it requires a serial type balance connector. This is a good reference on charging in parallel and has a pretty clear breadboard type multiple balance connector shown.

Check out www.Progressiverc.com David Gray has an explanation on parallel charging batteries. It is very effective, it charges and balances the batteries equally. It makes your charger think it's charging a huge battery. For example, I always charge multiple 2S 5000mAh lipo. If I do four 2S my charger thinks it's charging one 20,000mAh battery. I set my charger to 20amps and the batteries are all charged and balanced in about one hour. I use the icharger 208b with a P350 power supply. It is no joke!
