V One S Hop ups
Brain Teased
I have a set of shocks, 9 sets of srpings on ebay; Item number: 3176552375 and a second set available for a total of four.
Check it out, it may be worth your time if you wind up with an S. They shocks are standard withthe R/RR and would imagine the Evo as well.
The current bid is $35USD and I added the option for the second set fro $30; everything is NIP.
I'll see hwat else I can dig up, since I have a spare everything and then some.

lol apprently im not a big enough boy to drive these cars!!! they are just to fast for me... cant handle the stupid thing! it was so much easier with the Tamiya TGX i had! but i cant wait till i get enough skillz to drive it properly! winters coming which means no more daylight saving which then means not enough practice time!!!

Grip it and rip it [smartly of course].
It's part of the sport.

Spend money wisely and put in it what you want.
The radio has a lot of knobs and settings you can use and progress with.

More power+trigger control+nimble fingers=less money and more fun in the long run!

Not really advice, just my thought process.
$$$
Why buy a .5hp engine, learn to drive on it and then have to learn to handle a 1.5hp engine with $$$ invested on two engines?
Time
Similarly, practice doesn't make perfect, but perfect practice does. Why practice shooting a weapon with a cheap ammo only to know your sight setting will change when you use match grade ammo?
Experience
I see the learning curve, I just rather maker straighter.
[Now] Advise
Look & hear everyone out and then decide what works for you. No one will lookout for number one better than number one, since only number one knows what is important to number one!
Make sense?

lol that last bit didnt make any sense! but i like the sound of it!
"only number one knows what is important to number one!" no its not the fact that im trying to practice how to drive!! its just i need to practice the track!!! i can drive this car on the streets with ease! but driving it on the track and being a newbie you just dont want to hit the walls!! where as a force 12 motor will help me mezmerise the track! then once i put back in my jp motor yes i will need to adjust to the power abit but it will take no more than 10 laps for me to get the hang of it where as if i was to get the hang of this track now! it would take me 100 laps i should of gotten a V one S!!!

As Tom G said, it looks like you've figured out what works for you.

Sounds like you are heading in a direction that works best for you.
I took an approach similar to yours once and wound up spending a lot of $$$, time and effort I didn't have to.
Good luck!
