an update about my SC18 project.
While i was building my SC18 i found a great servo i've around that i wasn't able to use in other cars i have because of the weird spline size,no servo saver fit at all.I tried it in the SC18 servo saver just to realize if it was possible to fit it in this truck and. . . IT DOES! Also, the screw on the stock servo fits perfectly into the spline, this means non servo savers to look for and non weird screw sizes like in Hitek micro Servos= DIRECT FIT
This is the servo: http://www.savoxtech.com.tw/sh-0257.htm
Actually the only mod to do ,in order to have it perfectly fitted,is a 1,5/2mm. shave on the servo plastic holder cause the servo case size is slightly larger, nothing hard to do.
I cannot find the picture anymore but here's a link of a thread i started in another Forum in wich you can see the Savox servo fitted in the chassis.

perfect...thanks for that...now to question 2....
what is the run time/speed compaired to the old chassis with the same gear ration/motor battery combo?
same or the new is slower due to the belt system?

I put a Mamba Micro Pro/5400 in mine and it fit like it was meant to be in there:

I did have to move the receiver to the rear and put the controller behind the servo, but it all fit on the lower deck. Another guy at the LHS put a Tekin Mini Rage in his and he had to mount the controller on the top deck.

Did going to the 5400 brushless solve overheating problems?

I received and installed the Rear long shocks from the RC18T and it is a great upgrade. I had read about the upgrade but was skeptical of it untill I received the truck. After getting and driving the truck I immediately new it was going to be a MUST upgrade. It made a huge improvement in the trucks offroad and jumping abilities.
I took some pics showing the suspension travel gained from adding the longer rear shocks. I know someone else has taken pics of this mod but I thought I would share my own.
This is the suspensions maximum down travel.

Uptravel is still good considering the shocks are longer. Both the shocks and chassis bottom out at about the same time.

I have my ride height set slightly higher than stock. The truck is still very balanced and handles really well. I have seen no signs of it being top heavy at all.

I bought it from my LHS but since EU countries are more expensive than US you better ask here: http://www.savoxtech.com.tw/contact.htm
