For those of you who own this mill, aren't you all surprised that other bargain engines are getting more attention than this one?? I sure am.

I'm quite shocked to say the least... I feel confidant that this engine is as smooth as any, and has the power to take down engines costing twice as much money. It's a real sleeper, and has shockingly fast top speed.

yeah know thats what i kinda thought! Some really good motors in the $200 range seemed to come out around the same time and it seems like for whatever reason some just took off in the popularity more than others. I think the big plus for the werks motor is that Ron is constantly in his thread giving advise and awnsering question after question! I know that not every owner has the time to do that but i think alot of people really dig that!!! But i dont think anyone can go wrong with these new "Budget" motors coming out. ive got a b5 and my father has the Odonnells ss 21 and ive been very impressed with both!! I am definitly going to try the jl and the alpha motors just to see how they all compare

I have both engines but have not run my B5 yet. I just started break in. I will say this though the JL is the smoothest engine I have ever owned with tons of power everywhere. I dont know if anything can match it in terms of how much I like it. So far after owning a Nova +4, Ninja, V-spec, and a few low dollar basher engines. the JL is my favorite. Have not gotten the B5 on the track yet though so that opinion may change.

I will be racing it on Saturday with the JP-2. Torco 30% OD97T plug and a 7MM venturi. I'll post results.
