Hi
Just got myself a new Werk B5 and was wondering how to fit it all together properly? I am new to Off road, as all the RB and Novarossi on road engines I have bought have been fully assembled.
Also I need now to break in the engine, is it ready for 30% fuel or shall I use 25% to break the engine in? What are the pros and cons of using each fuel to break in the engine.
Oh and I will be using a Hudy break in bench to break the engine in.
Thanks

It is ready for 30% out of the box. You will not have to replace the connecting rod after break in with the WERKS engines. Its your choice if you want to break it in with 25% but most will agree it is fine to break it in with 30% and its usually best to break it in with the fuel you are planning to run. So if you plan to run 30%, break it in with 30%. BUt that is all user preference.
Make sure the lower O-ring is fully seated in the case. Put a small amount of oil on the oring to help when seating the carb base past that o-ring. The upper o-ring on the carb is optional if you want to use it or not. SOme people remove it and some people leave it on. The lower seal is enough to properly seal the carb, so its up to you. If you do leave the upper O-RIng on the carb it will provide a secondary seal between the carb and case. Ther ewill also be a small gap becasue of the oring being between. Thats normal.
Insert the carb and push down and twist the carb to seat it past the lower O-Ring. It will take a bit of force to push it down. The pinch bolt is what holds the carb in place. Insert one end on one side and the other end on the other side of the hole on the case making sure the cutout for the carb is in the correct position and orientation. Puta small amount on lube on the oring to ensure they slide into the case smoothly without tearing. Its good the apply a small amount of thread lock to the bolt to insure during use the carb does not move. Make sure you carb is in the right position then tighten. It needs to hold the carb but do not overtightn as it can damage the insulating sleeve on the carburetor.
Any thing else just ask
There is a lot of good info on this thread and a lot of good guys on here
You are gonna love the B5

Just any basic oil like bearing oil, marvel oil or even WD-40. you just need a tiny bit .Just so the o-rings are NOT dry so they slide in place better. SOme poeple dont use any but I have found there is less of a chance of a o-ring getting torn or damaged on assembly when you do use a little oil.

Hi,
I think first Werks B5 landed in Germany
.
So what do you think about Jammin JP4 (good overall choice for all Sirios) or Sirio 2056 (Bat Pipe, constructed for the S24T). Cause both pipes are much more durable than the 2013 and 2057.
Regards
Jürgen

The 2056 softens the bottom end a little but mid range and top end are still strong with it.
It also gets great fuel economy.

They are Really strong pipes, If all you have is a jp4 it will work but you will definitly see better runtimes and performance with the 2013 or 2057. The 2056 does work good too but it takes quite a bit of power away.2013 tons of snap on bottom and killer top end....2057 a little softer(smoother) on bottom and same or a little better on top with slightly better runtime than the 2013 which already gets very good mileage with the B5. hope this helps!

Just installed my new Werks 2013, switching from a TTR 2035 on my B5 in my RC8T. The Werks pipe/header combo was shorter so I had to install a new pipe mount. The engine fired right up and spit out alot of raw fuel/aro. My initial reaction was to lean it, but it stayed running so I left the needles alone. It took awhile to get warmed up, but once it did I didn't feel the needles needed any adjustment. I was quite surprised but those were my findings. Granted this was only one tank and not on a track; I will track test under race conditions this Sunday. The sound was definitely different, more of a growl, and definitely more snappy down low. Can't wait to see this baby on the track head to head w/ other truggies!

On the buggy. Take your pick Losi 8 2.0, Mugen mbx6, Associated RC8 B, X Ray. I would recommend picking a buggy that is very popular at your local track and you local hobby shop for parts support. The above buggies are capable. They are all different and suit specific driving styles.
For your servos pick two of these up:

For a starter box go with this one:

Battery for Starter box:

Glow plug Ignitor:

For a radio these two are very popular:

Tools I would go with Hudy Depending on the buggy you pick you will have to select standard or metric:

These items above are just the tip of the iceberg. There are many other nick nack things that you will need to get.
