Default M8 - worth picking up?

Looking at getting a new radio and handing my current one down to the boy. Currently I have an JR XS3 Pro. Don't have the money for a spektrum at this point and was looking at a synthesized M8 for under $100. Would it be worth it? Is it at least as good as the XS3 Pro? Thanks.

Default M8

M8 is as good as it gets. It has servo speed function that most radios don't. I use throttle speed on really low bite tracks and it can help.

Why not go used? You can find a 2.0 all day long for well under $100 on ebay or here. It has all the features you need without overwhelming you-like my 3PK I'm still figuring it out

I had a m8 back in 2003 which then it was the best. I bought another one and Im runnnig it now (got out of racng for 7yrs...lol) The only radios ill buy is airtronics because they are better, faster, more features, and hardly anyone hates their radio that is made by airtronics. O its top heavy yes it is to some extent but the features and reliability more than make up for this. I love my m8 and have held the m11x and love that as well. Once you go thru the features and get an idea it will be a snap unlike other radios where its hard to go thru them all.

all i have to say is once you get a M8 you will want the M11! LOL

I really like the Servo Speed and ALB Feature on it. i use it for my truggy so my breaks don't lock up and make it slide out of the line.

i would suggest going to 2.4 Ghz ASAP. it is awesome not having to worry about what channels are being used or interference by others (Had that happen to me and $$$$$).
