Default Speed Passion GTv1.1 Development

To be honest, I was TOLD at the beginning the V1. and V1.1 won't even work with 1s lipo...4.8V Nimh was the lowest....but you can prove me wrong.

With no software upgrade feature, I don't think V1.1 would work. But again...my 1.1 was like 3 years old now, I use it for SCT now with MOD motor.

For 12th scale 1S, I am sorry to say...at this moment, you need to think about the "T" brand. But I know SP is working on something about 1S application.

The Speed Passion GTv1.1 is update able firmware,
but Speed Passion didn't want to Develop The Firmware.

Take it From GT2.x it's Update able because The Firmware is Developed,
GT2.x Is the CAR_ESC HW427_V1.0
That's not mean HobbyWing, it's "Hard Ware 427 V1.0"

So Why is GTv1.1 is unapdatable is because
GTv1.1 is not "Hard Ware 427 v1.0" that is being Developed Firmware.

irgo, I do think SP and crew are listening. You just have to remember, they are not the size of Microsoft.

Default Take Speed Passion Respond

That is another reason why i bring the FIRMWARE DAMAGED issue,
instead sending it to King-Golden (Hongkong) / Speed Passion (Shenzen).

imagine if Speed Passion ESC user is able to do like what TeamWave User do,
FIRMWARE DAMAGED was supposed to be easy For them.
and don't have to send them to HK/Sz which will take a lot of time
and extra $$$

They just didn't take any Respond Here,
and too late, maybe They are having Difficult to Solved Firmware Damaged,
perhaps the research is stop right now.

At least Shawn Palmer Gave us Clue Here, and maybe Adam can't contact Shawn Palmer, what's happening.

and funny thing is Speed Passion had Facebook but don't have Twitter ?

So my question is Who is Researching, is it Hobbywing or Speed Passion for Speed Passion Product and Development.

Too many secret's and Too Quite there.

Or maybe they are too lazy since the Big Holiday !?

Any suggestions for a ballpark gearing on a SP 3.0 5.5? Rubber tire sedan, 100' straight, fairly flowing layout.

Hobbywing is the manufacturer of the ESC. Speed Passion, Venom, Much More, Turnigy are just branded The HW is not hard ware as you mentioned above, it's HobbyWing. It's not a secret, just don't fall for the hype.

Well isn't that nice how Hobbywing is The most responsible to all This mess ?

If Hobbywing is the one that Manufacturing Those ESC, we need them here to discuss, and if Hobbywing is The one That into the Research for all the ESC,
would be great to know How is The LCD will Work's, to Re Flash The Firmware.

Who Develop The Firmware for Hobbywing and Speed Passion ?

If the Research Of Stock Software is Developed by Speed Passion,
Why is Hobbywing willing to Use The Speed Passion Software/Firmware ?

If Wireless Power is Speed Passion, What a Hobbywing can do ?

So many things here must to explain, when we talk about Speed Passion,
We will not Stand To the Brand That has no research in it.
Without Research There will be no Improvement.

Hobbywing,Hobbywing,Hobbywing
That's What Solara say's about it,
All i can say Hobbywing or Speed Passion
Must respond to Firmware Damaged Issue.

Many Thanks Lutach,..

Dude I really don't get what your saying. The only way for you to get your esc fixed is to send it back to HK which is what Adam told you. Obviously you don't like that idea because its not convenient for you. With there re consolidation I guess is what its called now this is your only option take it or leave it, thats is simply the breaks right now.

Why would any company tell you how they repair or work on there esc's. What that is called is job security, if they tell you then thats money out of there pocket for the repair. I don't know what you did to your esc to mess it up, It probably was not even your fault but if you want it fixed send it in. You coming on here bitching about it is one more day it could have been in transit to getting fixed.

I have a feeling that I might get a Tekin at least I don't see all this complaining on there forum.

I've gone down to 6.7 with a V2 and the V3 should run cooler. So I'd start with an FDR of around 6.8-7.0. Make sure you're not running stock profiles though...

Thank you, much appreciated. I'm using profile 1 on an SPX (w/heatsink+fan) until I decide on a proper ESC for mod.

Thank's

were here to Improve Hobbywing and Speed Passion etc, not for a single controller.

The Mission is for all Factory/Companies that build ESC, must aware of this important bug.

Fixing The Firmware Damage is not a secret to us,
we have been Fixing many of Firmware Damaged.

The point is Many Factory/Companies that build ESC Miss attention on this important Object where we always talk about Firmware but Forgot about the risk.

we are just Helping two way, The Factory/Companies and The USER.

Both are required to move forward.

Not Everyone easily to just buy another Controller like you dfiantii.
and Not Everyone have easy access to reach HK/Distributors/Retailers.

Just pushing how to make a better living in these RC WORLD.
So people enjoying not complaining.

I will be the One that ready to involved with this, you can stick with you tekin, i lived with many controllers not just tekin.

Everyone deserved for the right controller what ever they like.

but basic is basic, FIRMWARE DAMAGED must be Solved for Esc.

How do you "toast" a motor? I always run my motors a little on the conservative side to keep the temps down, but I thought that if the motor did get too hot the thermal cutout would activate? Were you running without this? I'm just worried about killing my motors now

The thermal cutout on the 2.0 ESC is for when the ESC reaches 100 degrees or more for 5 seconds then it cuts the esc.
