I know official practice starts on Thursday, is the track open for practice on Wednesday?

If the turn out stays on the low side I would support no practice allowed on Wednesday and allow a little more practice on Friday along with Qualifying. This would help save a day at the race.

I understood that to be a decision by the Gate crew because the track was temporary. The Track is open for business all the time, so unless there is a ROAR rule I am unaware of, they can choose to allow practice before the event.

85$ for a track that is already built is pretty steep! Plus no tires! Snowbirds was $80 and they had to build the track. This is going to kill turn out! No discount for a second class! Come on people!

The Entry fee is not set by the track, its set by ROAR. So it doesn't matter if its a perm. track or not.

Also, NOT racing a Nationals, due to entry fee is ONLY HURTING THE HOST TRACK!!!

Im glad its on the eastcoast this year... next year it may be unreachable. If you are skilled to race a NATIONAL EVENT, entry fee cost should not be your deciding factor, or, will you receive a free set of tires.

Entry fee = $80.00 plus
Hotel fee = $270.00 plus approx.
Fuel or air fare = $100.00 plus (if not a local)

Not going = PRICELESS

From ROAR website...

Feb 17, 2010 - At the request of the host of the Carpet Nationals, ROAR will be making changes to the classes offered. The entry flyer will reflect the changes. If you have already signed up and would like to make changes to your entry, please contact Ruben Benitez, Competition Director, at [email protected] immediately.

- The event will permit the Sportsman Stock drivers to compete in a foam class of 17.5 Touring Car Foam.
- The 13.5 Touring Car Foam option will be dropped.
- The event will add a Trans AM class for all racers to participate. Also, the WGT class is open to all racers as well.
