M11 receiver antenna wire
#1
I have a M11 2,4Ghz radio.
The receiver's antenna wire is damaged (not cutted).
Some guyz in the truck told me taht the 2,4Ghz is not recomended to replace the wire myself its not like simples antennas (mhz), I have to send it to Airtronics service to replace it.
Its true that? I cant replace myself ????
Thank you.

my lhs done that before. one thing to note the soldering surface is extremely small. u need to use the right solder tip along with skills.
those who used to work in electronics servicing co. they see no big deal.

Which M11 2.4 GHz do you have? I can speak for my DSSS only, but I assume it's the same with any 2.4 GHz.
The antenna wire is coaxial cable and it's not soldered to the pcb but plugged in, so you can replace it fairly easy. You can take a look at oople where they show an open tx module with the antenna plug connected.
I'm not 100% sure but I think, the receiver antenna ist plugged in, too?
