My bad I did nt pst the pics of the brace I made...LOL. That would def. makes it weak. It will have a brace similar to th CRC genx. Also on the left side there are two mounting holes( really one of the only reasons I think this will work)
I have a Speedmerchant 1/12th car from 1999 that's been sitting on a shelf in my garage for 10 years, since I got out of the hobby. I'm getting back into it now, so I wanted to find out how different are the 1/12th cars now? Will racing this car in local club racing be an excercize in futility, or can I have a little fun with it while I gear back up?
I don't expect to be driving well enough to win anyway...just wanted to know if even attempting to drive this car would be a cruel joke, or is there still fun to be had?
Thanks!

Does it still use 2 bolt rear wheels? If so, you will want to get new 3 hole hubs for it.

Hey whats up guys I just thought I would share my first "custom" with you. I looked in numerous places and tried to find a brushless pod that would work for this car. It is a BMI that was custom biult a couple of years back. I do beleive all of the red is from a CRC though. Anyways tell me what you think. If there are any suggestions let me know. All I need now is the 1s saddle and I should be god to go. There are pics of before and after in my flickr thread. I do still have some finishing touches to make though.

Hey Guy's
I have a question... I just picked a a used 12r5 what i want to do is I want to run the speedmerchant formula front end off the Rev5 on this car just to experiment.
But the holes dont line up. Does any on have a template where i can cut out the holes for the older front end i could be made out of lexan or anything like that I can drill outthe hole I just need a template or something like that
if anyone can help that would be great.

Says "blackart" on it... clearly it's a speed control enhancing chassis. Based on the consensus... good for .6 seconds a lap by anyone using it. It's so powerful that you don't even need the advantage of tires (as shown in the photo).
...I'll go start the "ban the chassis thread"....

Interesting design.
Can anyone confirm if it is a layered composite or thermoformed plastic. From the cut edges there is no layer grain so it could be plastic. Also looks as if it was formed over a mould from the inside from the higher internal definition.
