Sitting in dark basement...Noooooo!!!! I can't afford those expensive $15 Sanyo NiMH AAs!!!!!

Trust me, I can afford them. My comment was in support of alot of the younger folks to whom $15 (or in case you want to do the math, since you sometimes need 8) $30 is alot of money. I guess we'll see what the next few years hols as far as battery usage goes. Peace out!!

To the OP. I'm sorry this thread got off topic. I don't know where you are located, but I was in a Hobby People last night, and they had the Airtronics MX-3FG (a step up from the MX-Sport) on sale for $99.99. That is a smoking deal on a great radio.
