after breaking it down and inspecting/cleaning/sealing all i can say is wow very very impressed with the engineeringand the fit and fininsh serioulsy fooken wow


hey easy/jud/arron/clockworks...shimming for break in w/30% all 4 shims? looked shimmed a little too much?IDK?

I would say break it in with all four shims for about a gallon of fuel then take one or two shims out. We (the guys running it now) have come to the conclusion that you can safely take out one shim. Easyryder took out 2 I believe. Im runnning at .5mm head spacing (2 stock shims and another thin one from another engine) with 25% Byrons Gen 2 with no problems in my Clockwork modded JL.

No seriously two gallons. It will help your piston and sleeve last a lot longer and get your engine up to temp. Ofir and I go out and start warming up our engines 2 1/2 minutes before our race starts.

I would do what Aaron said and just leave all for for one gallon then take out out. I run 25% so I have one out already.

Im back to 3 shims, 4 for break-in for sure Got a 086 on the way to try, see how it compares to jp-3.

wow never seen a motor break in so easy with factory recomended settings idles great perfect temps


halfway done finish i will finish breaking in tomorrow



any carb inserts available?

thats what i thought, the way it was shaped kinda gives it away just checkn though......might buy a carb body and atempt to mill/drill out so maybe one can fit


im still breaking it in, but im pretty sure after 3gal it will be getn 10mins

man this motor is super smooth in a trugg

If you were able to find a RB K9 carb cheap, like on Ebay, that carb accepts a restrictor. I did 10 mins with my K9 with a 7mm restrictor.
