I suggest looking at trucks from XRAY, LOSI, MUGEN, Kyosho, Tamaiya, Associated, Hot Bodies, etc.

Of course that isn't the only choice... it is just what I choose to drive. I hope that is helpful!

Dude Portugal has ALOT of extreme racing there: http://rcspecial.com/news/?p=35162: you can get some really good cars over there, dont settle for that stuff you mentioned - you will not be nothing but mad - regretting your deceision to get into this hobby.... DOMIT was right check out the list of cars he sent - you have even more options cause your in the Euro market. But you can get some really good stuff...

The one thing I would add is that many of the race oriented 1/8 scale Truggies are going to cost way more than an HPI 1/10 scale truck. I think the Xray would cost three or four times what a HPI Hellfire would cost.
If you do intend to actually race, I would spend some time at your local track and see what they run and which class might be most friendly to a new racer. Around my area, the Traxxas Slash and 1/8 Buggies are most popular.
Also I would try to pick the brand that is popular with local drivers. This way you know you can get help from them and/or find parts.

I think I have figured out that the Trophy truck he mentioned is actually the Hot Bodies Lightning Stadium Sport truck in the USA. They have some slight differences, but I think they are basically the same product.
