Need to replace these all on my Losi 8ight T 2.0 RTR

DIff fluids, shock fluids, engine bearings, glo plug.

The Losi owners manual recommends losi fluids and Dynamite Glo Plugs

Do you guys recommend buying the parts losi reccommends or is there anyting better out there? What glo plugs should I run in the 454 engine? is there an advantage to running shielded bearings over sealed?

I use Losi diff fluids and shock oils. But any brand will work. I would say to just replace fluids with what the manual says to start with and then when you learn a little more you can change it up.

The Associated shock and diff oil, it's cheap, and works good. Try the McCoy Mc8 glow plugs they have been around for years and work in any standard glow plug engine, minus the O.S. engines....

I don't see any mccoy mc8 plugs on A Main Hobies... How do I know whether to choose a hot or cold plug? I am running 30% Odonnel Nitro on the .28 engine.

Well that is long story probably told by another. Usually cold plugs aren't so great on idle, and hot plugs tend to be for turbo style engines, and medium seems to work best for most applictions. It's a good start. Novarossi makes a medium nunber 6 plug that works good, but it's expensive. I like the mccoy plugs for their price and great performance. the 8 is the medium. It realy confusing. You can't go by the numbers across different brands. The odonnell sport medium glow plugs are the best price at like 4 dollars, but I haven't used them to say for sure. All I know is I put the mccoy 8 plug in every engine I've had with great success. from .12 engines all the way to .21. the .28 will be the same.

I use Losi shock oil and diff fluid and OS engines like OS plugs. I like to run P3 plugs in my .21 engines and P4 work well too.

i use associated oil in my shocks and diffs, seems to work well for me and half the price. as for glow plugs i will only use o.s plugs as i think they are good quality and readily available.

The quality of the fluid far surpasses what is available from AE or Losi,

Is absolutely consistent from bottle to bottle,

and comes in a 4 oz "big bore" bottle.

(and you will probably see the price come down as we are now able to buy large batches = less expensive)

I don't see me buying 2-3 hundred $ worth of shock oil any time soon so that isn't a deal. You need to be a small biz operator with a good write off to do that.

It's silicone oil, how much quality is needed. I can hear the sales pitch...At D&f we have strict quality control standards that routinely check the viscosity of each batch ensuring top quality and cst, wt standards along with 99.99999999 percent purity levels, each day Juan Valdez hand pics the silicone beans at 4 am when they are at their peak of freshness, give me a break. Team associated has been making oil for what 25 years, and it's lik 3 dollars. Give it up....

The stuff Jimmy sells is actual CST ratings oils.

AE 25wt is labelled as 275CST, but is actually 286.

With the oils that Trackstar sells what ever cst is on the label that is what the fluid inside actually is. The label is not an estimate it's a fact.
The Lutzinator uses it too so it can't be that bad

AE is a huge company and with huge comanys come failures also. jimmy does own a small buissness right here in southern california. its like eating a a little hole-in-the wall taco shop over del taco. quaility is always better when you go smaller
