Default tmaxx problem engine dies

I have a tmaxx stock 2.5
i have been running here with very little problems, but sometimes when i make a turn it would just die. but worst off all when i went to the high desert this christmas the it ran fine for about a 2 mins. then it loses power and it barely comes to crawl speed wise. if i keep trying to give it gas eventually after about another 3-4 mins it runs fine. then it repeats.
in the high deser wheather temp is about 40 degrees and altitude is 4000+ ft.
help please!!!!!!!!

Did you re-tune it for the altitude and low temp? Where are you trying to tune it for now?

Agreed, needs to be tuned daily.
The symptoms are a lean (hot)engine, although it could be 100 different things, try a richer high speed needle setting.
