No Problem.... if you can tune and use the right fuel, plugs and pipe.
I don't have it yet, but i have owned 3 different Picco .21's. I ran all of them in my Jammin X1 Pro, all the power you need.
I just bought one myself, waiting on it to arrive. I just read this entire thread, kinda surpised that it is a Force engine....disappointed is the word. It was listed as a Picco.
I have two Adam Drake Platinum .21's, one the standard version, one is the fully draked edition. I have 7 gallons on it and still runs like a champ. 3 sets of bearings have been put in it and one rod just recently. Anyways the reason I mention the A.D. 21 is that the pics of the JL sleeve port configuration, is very similar to my A.D. 21 full mod. We'll see when i tear it down and inspect, clean and seal it.
Hell the little 3 port .21 BAS Picco will kill most RTR .28 no problem, it's only 99 bucks. With a set of good ceramics in it and pullstart eliminator backplate, that engine would surprise a lot of pro's. I ran that engine with a long Ofna header and a Dynamite Platinum 086 with Byron's Pro Driver 30%. I had tons of people at races wanting to know what I had, then when i told them the price they were disgusted. It would stay right with the Tuned GRP .21 combo in similar cars, until of course the GRP started to rev higher. At that point you are off the throttle and on the brakes anyways for the next turn on most tracks. 4 gallons on it with no maintenance, then it died naturally. Bearings at 2 gallons would have gave it another 3-5 gallons. At 99 dollars, i did not carethough.
Back to the JL, I'll report back later. I plan to use O.D.97T plugs and my 086 setup with 1.0 springs. If that does not work, I'll try some different stuff. I'm running a Kyosho ST-RR now, 9 lbs in race trim with body and fuel.
I've lost count of the engines I have owned. I know what i'm doing. I hardly ever DNF for engine issues. poor eye sight and throttle happy are my downfalls.
I agree with Aaron and easy rider. on good engines you need to tune the LSN first. HSN has no bearings on idle and LSN settting unless you lean the HSN way to damn far. Always tune the HSN to the driving conditions.
The Traxxas 3.3 is the ONLY engine I have ever seen that the idle would change if i touched the HSN. Finicky little bastards, but they scream on 30%, I ran that one into the ground on purpose as well. 4 gallons and the bearings slopped out. Compression was still perfect but I wanted the OS 21 TM....
Needless to say, all my good mills get bearings @2-3 gallons. Usually ceramics, that will be done to the JL after breakin.

No need to be disappointed that its a force, people will be shocked when you tell them what it is and then what you paid for it I was suprized when I saw force come out with a real race engine, I would go with a hot plug, I tried od 97 and ended up with p4 instead, p3 should be good also. I saw some guy on ebay listing it as picco, nitrohouse has the real listing and better price here

Have fun with it, its a screamer

i run a force 21r in my truggy on an os a5 plug at 15% nitrox
and used the ron parris method .never hd a problem except plugs going bad
i put this against a 1/8 buggy powered by axial 28ss on 20% nitrox and kicked its ass.both motors are pullstart with kit pipe and no mods .my other motor is a jammin 12 pullstart for on road also made by force engines and dont have problems with that, even after 8 months storage primed up glo niter fitted started on 4th pull.yes force are cheaper but dont ignore them there strong, reliable and easy to use

Axial's are nothing special to rant and rave about.
