Sidewinder/castle link question
#1
Hey fellas,
I am looking at getting my brother an E-Firestorm flux and was wondering if with the castle link could the esc be programmed in a way to reduce speed/power?
This will be his first 'real' rc, so it would be good if it could be dumbed down a bit.
Also how does the lipo cut off work?
Is it similar to the hobbywing esc's where it reduces power to 50% for 10 seconds then turns off?
Cheers.

I think you can only reduce the power (punch control) but not the speed. If you're running NiMH you can run fewer cells to lower teh voltage and that will drop the speed. There is no 'training' mode in the Sidewinder.
I'm not sure what the sidewinder lvc does since I've never run it long enough to hit it.
