the re-11 killed the power on my werks engines. Not a good choice in my opinion for werks engines. I tried one on my B7 ran 2 tanks thru it was tuned optimal, then pulled it in and swapped it out for a re-10. Huge increase in power. over the re-11.

in the past were werks motors modelled on sirio engines,

is the new b5 engine still following suit or have you gone a different way i love the B7 and am regreting getting rid of it. but my mate grins from ear to ear after a run with the b7.

thinking of going back to the new b5

just curious if they a re still modelled on the sirio.

I think that you got it a bit backwards. In the past we have always come out with our engines first and then approximately a year later you would find the basic design concept/features of our engines being released in new versions of the Sirio branded engines. This is still true to today with a 3port engines being sold under a different brand with great fan fare that is basically a slightly re-worked version of our B3-Pro which has been on the market for a couple of years.

Regards,

Ron

just got done trying out the 2056 (baseball bat) pipe on the b5 in a d8t truggy. It actually Works pretty good. NOt as much punch as the 2013 or 2056 but not bad at all. Smooths the powerband out nicely to where it revs predictably all the way to the top which is good. Would be a good pipe to use in a buggy to make the power real controllable if you dont like the explosive feel of the other 2 pipes..................

Default Tuning Posts

I've been following the thread and thought it'd be helpful to highlight the pages where Ron offers tuning advice; pages 3,13,20 (pg 19 has ?'s that are answered on 20).

Also, go to http://werksracing.com/faq.do?id=9 the FAQ's page about tuning, good info there as well.

I don't have the engine yet, so haven't been too concerned with pipes, but maybe someone could compile the pages for pipe feedback as well.

Ron, ygpm

I got mine today. I am impressed; the quality seems right on par with RB, etc. I'm definitely buying a second and possibly third B5. I can't wait for the Spring.

Hi All,

I've just got my B5 this week and getting ready to break it in. It's going in to a D8 and i'll probably start with the stock carbon clutch and 1.0 springs and then try vp-pro aluminium shoes with different springs.

Before installing the B5 should i take it apart and flush it out and then re-oil it. I was just thinking to take the head off and back plate and flush it out that way.

The other thing should I seal it up straight away? I've done that in the past maybe not straight away but after the first tear down and inspection.

Do you need to replace the con-rod after break in?

I'm not sure which pipe to run with have three to choose from Dyn 086, Go 0801 and Go 2072. I'm thinking the 2072 it's been pretty good on the Go engines i have.

Any way looking forward to running the B5.

Ron, what do you think about trying the 3014 pipe on the B5?
