My mistake...I thought the Creation Hobbies CR-1 motor was the successor to the helix rs v2. Too bad. They have access to a huge amount of cheap tungsten(non magnetic steel/titanium) to make the next gen motor shafts: no way the current motors will keep up...Hopefully the current owner will come out with a great future lineup...Cheers...

Yep, it is a copy of the perfect fantom helix/icon design. If they are able to place the rotor in the center of the magnetic field with the sensor board 0.4mm away from the rotor, then their budget motor will be fantastic. Once the stator is pressed in the can at the right distance, then it will be possible to place the sensor board close enough to the rotor for max performance...Most of the cheap production rotors are pretty good(1600+) nowadays...The high torque rotors(1800+) really slow motor rpm and should be built with a titanium center shaft to regain some rpm...

It seems that 6mm sensor board is a better fit(0.63mm away from rotor) in the helix rs v1 with the 25mm rotor than the 5mm board(1.63mm away from rotor)...I guess that it would also work better with the 26mm rotor...

My fantom helix v1 finally came alive after moving the motor fan 22mm away from the motor. Guys use to pull me down the straight before moving the fan, now I am pulling them bad...Hopefully they don't accuse me of cheating....lol....Go fantom....The same thing happened to me back in the 17.5t racing days with my FR-1 v1 in my tc4... Please be advised, 10mm is not enough even if the fan apparently runs fine...20mm or more if you don't want to bog down your Fantom motor...

I wanted to know what car the mid shorty lipo packs were designed for ? I have a few 2600mah super shorty packs for F1 25.5t racing and 2wd off road, but I have yet to see a mid shorty pack sized battery tray...It would be cool if fantom would make a 4200mah super shorty...lol...
