How would this make you feel?

This did not happen to me, but to a friend. I will not disclose the company, yet. I will wait to see what happens 1st. And the person that did this is pretty well known.

you said a "BIG" race right - most of use here have been to "BIG" races and know how crazy, hectic, and busy it is.........
I would have just went and asked him because if he's like me, after a practice before a race, I am focused on one thing and one thing only.... fixin my sh!t. He just forgot...... "most" of those guys dont care about tires as they get LOTS free... so it was not about the tires or him being pissy.....

My method of pay-back is a lot more subtle, yet abrupt at the same time... I'd just drop constant comments like "how are my tyres coming along mate?" "are those the tyres with my name on it?" "hey remember those tyres you were gonna give me? You found them yet?" or turn the tables "Hey wanna marshal for me at 05:00?? ... i'll give you a set of tyres mate !!!!" but actually give him a set and then say "how does it feel when people keep promises?"
All the above with an ear to ear grin... and eventually they'll get so fed up of you constantly mentioning it... that you'll prolly get several sets :P

hears one. you been racing in a series that started in June
now it's down to the last race a week a way your in the
top three and the permotor cancelled the last race and
says that the attends was low and it's not worth having
the last race and or buying trophies for the racers that did
race in all the races how would you feel?

Ive never really been to a big race that was hectic unless I was running like three classes, its just the same as club racing except you wait longer between rounds.
I find when someone offers you something to do something for them, nine times out of ten the somehow forget.
At least he didnt give you an old bald set of tires

I don't mind helping out at races since i'll have some extra time and free stuff is great, but fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!
Of course i'm not bashful so i would remind said person more than they want to hear and i'll get my stuff just because they want me to leave them alone.
Of course there are the sponsored drivers who seem to keep helping me out and won't ever take anything in return because they enjoy the hobby and the sportsmanship that goes with it.
Thanks M. Cranford, you saved us again and i owe you some TM'ing at the next big one.

It was early in the morning, I didn't take the tires before I marshaled, because if by some chance something happened and I couldn't marshal, I would have had to taken them back. I stayed up and missed some needed sleep and marshaled, later on I let him know I marshaled and I got a thanks. I wasn't sure how to ask for the tires, so I just sorta hoped he would come up to me later with them, but didn't...
No big deal, it's been months ago. Me and Porty were just talking this morning and I made mention of it. If I got mad after every time I didn't get a set of tires or an e-mail responded to, I'd probably quit racing. But life goes on, and if he offered today I'd take a set of Losi Red or Green Eclipses. lol
Sincerely,
Bo Johnson

I have had sponsored drivers make deals like that with me and then not come through. I just remember it and tuck it away for later. Since they 'think' they got one over on you they'll be back again looking to make a deal. I've been busting a guys chops for years for some parts he "promised" me because he needed a part I had. I've never gotten the parts, but I've had way more fun this way.
