that's the temp they should be reaching whilst breaking in. Idle it for only one tank to clear out the junk and to run everything in slightly, then for the second tank begin to drive it just blipping the throttle, loading it up, and get heavier ont he throttle every tank. by the 5th tank you should be holding down the throttle down the straight, and it should be rich-ish maybe about 110 degrees celcius.
then just go by feel.you can see when an engine is breaking in as it gets richer each tank as the piston/liner fit expands and breaks itself in, when this occurs every tank, lean it just a fraction then run it like this for the rest of the tank.

no shut the engine off between each tank and let it cool down completely, then when you go to restart the engine heat it up with a hairdryer as much as you can, usually 2 minutes is enough, the chassis should feel quite warm. You can heat up an engine with a hairdryer up to 80 degrees so if you have a temp gun aim for 80 degrees before you crank it over.
i am up to my 9th tank. by the 7th tank i leaned it out enough for it to start shifting. use foams that are about 61cm's not too small. my engine is currently at about 100 degrees. I am using tornado fuel with 3% extra castor oil. I feel the tornado doesn't have enough oil in it for break in. current tornado mix has 8.6% oil, not sure what proportion of this is castor and synth though, still not enough in my opinion, not when Runnertime (best fuel on the market) uses a total of 12%

First the 3xxx pipes suck. Don't use them.
Second, they are reocommended by NovaRossi to be used with FLASH
Third, by experience, I personally have a Cordoba, and tried them.
If you find any other pipes that are good, plz share. You can try JP and Max Power. But, they are similar to nova.

When purchasing the new engine, how many of you seal the engine prior to breaking in the engine.
The reason I ask is that there is always a thread in different forums advising that the motor, whether it be new of used should be sealed to ease the issue of tuning, performance and temperature.

Novarossi 08 vs. 09 353 .12!??!
hey guys! ok well i am looking to buy a new engine! heading towards novarossi, so there's the 08 353 .12 (Blue head sink) and the 09 353 .12 (Purple head sink) are there any differences between the two engines? another question to is what is the difference when its just a 353 or a TUNED 353?! please help!
