Questions?? Newbie: Serious about building outdoor F1 course, help!

I'm wanting to build an F1 course in my backyard. I'm thinking about 1:10 - 1:18 or even smaller. I'd like the scale and realism as close as possible. I' ve got an "L" shaped yard about 70' long by 20' deep with the "L" at 50'. I want to use an asphalt topcoat over cement or clay/gravel, banked curves and anything else to keep it real. I've looked at Suzuka, Circuit Mont-Tremblant, Circuit de Monaco and Circuito Permenente de Jerez as possible fits.

I'd love any input into scale, gas/electric, construction or anything else that would get me started.

Being a newbie I kind of need it spelled out for dumbies.
