Questions?? buzzing noise while charging

when I charge my NiMH five cell hump pack I hear a buzzing noise coming from the battery. what is that noise? I'm assuming it's normal but is it?

The battery shouldn't buzz but are you sure it's coming from the battery? My power supply buzzes when charging. Some chargers buzz too.

it's the battery 100% and I just switched out the hump with another and it too is buzzing. They are both the same

1600
5 cell
6.0 Volt
hump pack

one of them is old (6-8mo.) the other is about a month old

I'm using the IntelliPeak charger and eak charging at 1.0 Amp
I'm I doing damage to the charger?

Strange, if battery is working fine after charge I would go with it.

Its something assoicated with that charger. Have seen this issue raised many times and it always involves that charger. Never seen an explanation, but it must not something thats bad, since it charges alright even with the noise.

it may be a pulse charger that's cycling too frequently on the small capacity receiver cells causing a buzz. I never liked those.

I used to have one these chargers. Mine did the same thing with lower capacity packs. I never had a problem with many cycles.
