Raced mine for the first time today and im very happy to say that the B5 is a great mill. I ran a 2013 pipe and the AE pipe either one will do the job ended up running the 2013 for the main and pitted at 8 min. which this track is very hard to get good run times on. The lowend was second to none with an M2C 4 shoe clutch light shoes and 9.5 springs next time im going to try 9.0s . Everyone here is wanting to get one now.

Ran mine this weekend and VERY impressed. I ended up with the grp 2053 and it gave me plenty of power with pretty good runtimes. I ran the motor a little on the fat side and could go 10:30 so in the main I pitted at 9 just to safe. Tons of top end and great bottom end to go with it. Only needle that really seemed touchy was the idle screw and I can definitly live with that.
I have the 2013 ordered and we'll see what that does.
P3 plug
Grp 2053
Carbons shoes with 1.0 springs
Stock 7MM carb restrictor
And 30 percent fuel
That's what I ended with this weekend

1fastguy, thanks for the feedback! You would not be used to running OS engines would you by chance? You will find that they seem to use a differet pitch on their idlescrews (and needles) than most of the Italian engines. On our engines 1 hour = 1 hour o. OS engines it seems to me more like a 3 hour adjustment to the needle = 1 hour. This has it's pluses and it's negatives but it allows for the perception of an easier to tune carb or I should say a wider sweet spot with the OS becausethe adjustments are simply not moving the needles as much.
Ericsp2, when you say B7 are you looking for the B7 Pro rear ceramic or the older B7 rear steel bearing? Also regarding the fronts, yes all of our engines use the same size but there are different grades of bearings used depending on the model of engine.

Ron was running the B7 before. With the B5 I was getting better run time than all the orther engines there O.S , R.B , EB mods , and GRP. Like I said this track is very hard to make good run time on but I ran 2 laps more than the last guy to pit that is about 1 1/2 min. and it will get better run time than that with more fuel but belive me thats good . I was running on the fat side also and will go up a tooth on the bell next time there.I have no dought it will go 10+ on anyorther track I run on. All my friends said thats going to be the next engine thay get . It gave me the tq and win this weekend because when everyone pitted in gave me the clean track to really cut 2 laps and I needed it at around 14 min. in I had a shock end break off . Ron you know who I am just dont post much
