Default Best Lipo bargain from the USA!

Hey guys. Trying to get my little e-8ight project going. Found my motor sertup but still no luck on the lipo's. What I am looking for is something under or around 100 bucks..4s-20c at least..3000-5000ma's. I dont want to order from HongKong or China..I dont feel like waiting 2-3 weeks and I'd rather deal with an american retailer! USA USA USA..Anyone know if I can find something like that I'd be much obliged..Thanks!

You're not going to find any made in the USA. There are plenty of American resellers, but you aren't going to find them made here. (And if you could, you probably wouldn't want to pay for them.)

Pick up SMC's or NeuEnergy batteries, you won't be disappointed.

It doesn't take 30 days. Pay the more expensive shipping, and you STILL save hundreds. Basically, if you order Zippy packs, you pay less than half for the pack, and only add back about $15 per pack. Shipping on a $70 4S pack still makes it under $90. You're way ahead when you save that much $$. A few American importers have realized this. In fact, on Hobbycity's website, some of the stocks are kept in the US. The price is a little higher, but shipping is lower. Check out the site.

2S? If so,thats not that great. You could of bought 8, 2S Zippy lipos and had them in a week!

Personally I think that when it comes to batteries US retailers rape the hell out of us! How is it that a Tunergy 5S battery that IMO are better than MaxCrap is a 1/3 of the cost? So the retailer eats up 2/3 in profit and we, the consumer in a luxery hobby, get the shaft. I would pay the high price if all the production of any product we consume was made in the US. But since 99.9% of products with n a stones throw from where I'm sitting, come from China I rather buy direct and save.

My $.2

Agree with losifiend on this one. Spend a little more for the better shipping from HobbyCity. I mean even when I didnt use the expensive shipping route it only took about a week and a half for my 6s 5000mah zippy H to come in for my trex 600. Not too bad at all. I will be ordering two 4s 5000mah Zippy Flightmax batteries here in a few minutes for my emaxx and you guessed it they are coming from over seas. The deal is just impossible to miss out on, and look around, everyone is running them for a reason. I think I see more zippy, flightmax, and turnigy packs being used lately then TP.

We can only hope that the domestic retailers catch on, and start selling these things at reasonable prices. All they'd have to do, is match the Zippy price after shipping is added in. If they could do that, they stand a chance. As it stands, they're going down faster than GM with no bail out.

i've been looking real hard for the last couple weeks for batteries. review after review says you get what you pay for. all the batteries i read about similar to Zippy, AllBattery, etc, usually had high IR and were often overrated or inconsistant (from one battery to the next). they usually performed well for bashing/practice/flight batteries, but not under high draw, i.e. racing conditions. now that doesnt mean i think $150 for a racing battery is reasonable (i dont think $100 is reasonable.)

the cheapest race quality battery i found was the SMC 2S 6000mah 28C. $74 shipped at MyAtomic. sorry, i wasnt looking at 4S.
