Default heat shrink split open

i got a couple cheap lipos and put extra heat shrink on them and the original split open. i ended up just re shrinked it a couple more times. should the battery be ok? thanks

Did it split from the heat used to shrink the extra shrink wrap? I don't have any soft pack lipo's so I can't say for sure one way or the other.

That can happen if the if the original heat shring tubing was too small for the pack. sometimes people use shring tubing that is just big enough for the pack to fit in. As it shrinks, it can break at the seam. The little extra heat you gave it may have caused it to shrink a little more.

I put a couple more layers on it and wrapped it with a little tape to make it a snug fit to prevent anymore damage. looks like the cells are ok
