Raced there once at the second round of the RC Pro series last year and it was a very cool track & shop, sad to see it closing down.

Damn. JCG is less than a 30 minute drive for me. Well, guess I can try Indy...

This is truly bad news. I have a lot of good memories of that place, lots of good times racing and hanging with some of my friends. Jcg will be greatly missed.

I'm wondering that myself. That would be nice if they could at least leave it set-up. Be good for a bit of track practice even though it won't have races. I guess whether it will get demolished or not may be determined by if they sell the land or not, and who buys it if it is sold.

This seems to be a growing trend. A lot more tracks closing than opening.
I can't help but wonder where the future of RC racing is headed ?

Good question... Someone is making money hand over fist in this sport/hobby, and I'm afraid that it isn't the hobby shops. Must be the distributor's because I've yet to hear of any of those closing....

That sucks!

If we lose our tracks,.... well you guys no whats next. I think the manufacturers should start sponsoring more racing, and or sponsor the tracks directly. This could help get whole the industry going.

It seems like an ongoing trend with tracks disappearing. I've had 3 tracks disappear that were local to me within the same year. I built mine with the promises from "so called friends" that they were going to run on it all the time and I had about 3 visits and that's it. I wasted a ton of my time and a considerable amount of money for the track to not be used. I'm fixing to clear mine off this summer and plant grass back there.
