Post Best Brushless Truck

Hey guys..

I've got a savage, but I'm new to Brushless...

I wanto to buy a brushless truck, but I dont know what to buy..

Between Lst2, used, to convert into BL, or a E-revo ex-brushed to convert into BL, what would be the strongest?

The lst2 is about 100$ cheaper..

About a BL combo.. My budget for it is 300$. what would be your choice?

Thanks

Conversions are not cheap, all the ones I've done (Emaxx to FLM Ext Emaxx, G2R, and HB Lightning Pro 1/8th buggy) they all wind up costing far more than what you budget. A brushless setup will find every weak link in your drive train and destroy it so you have a lot of upgrading to do before you get to the point that a conversion is reliable - doesn't break everytime you run it.

I have no experience with LSTs, but their rep is solid. If you have no experience doing a conversion, you may be better off going with the E-Revo since stuff's already available to make it BL. To me, the only choice is the Castle 2200 combo, I've run 3 of them with no probs and looking to do a 4th.

Welcome to the forums, btw.

I'm not pro, but also not a noob about nitro rc, but about BL, I'm near a 0...

To convert the lst2, i'll need a single spur conversion (about 50$), and a motor mount (handmade)... and what more?

you don't need to make one from scratch. You can buy a conversion kit for the LST. There are some out their but i forgot who makes it? I am sure you can find it on google.

The LST would be a better choice. I've seen both and (if done right) the LST looks a LOT cleaner, and would probably hold up better than the Revo.

Batt tray of some kind that will not allow the lipo to move at all. If it moves, you risk ruining it due to damage. Since they apparently already make kits, look an see whats available for trays.

So..

Between a lst to convert, and already electric e-revo, the lst would be a better choice?

Viseually, i prefer the lst, but that is just my eyes...

Thanks

definitely not. I would get the e-revo brushless over a converted lst any day. First off it is already made to handle the BL power and already comes with a motor and esc. Next is handles like a dream and will blow away your lst on the track. Last off the lst conversion kit is around $200 plus the $250 motor/esc, and that adds up to almost the new price of the e-revo brushless.

When you get to that level of investment, why not just sell your Savage and buy a Savage Flux?

Default brushless monster truck

if your planning on racing the e-revo is the best choice for brushless.

i race an e-revo brushless and the lst trucks cant keep up to the e-revo on the track.

just the extra weight of the lst alone makes the e-revo more nimble on the track .
