Default spektrum reciever problem need help

Running round 4 qual and my throttle would stick open for a sec or 2. doing great in qualifying when it happened, and t cost me the b main.
when the motor is not running everything works fine. when it is running, once i give it about half throttle it will hold the throttle, but it seems like it loses the bind. my radio is a dx3s with a SR3300T rx. it will pop up when the rx is not on by saying "telemetry not connected" normally that happens when the tx is on but the car is not. it quickly flashs that message when my throttle would stick.
One thing i noticed was my rx pack was over 7 volts. its an ofna 1700 nimh pack. is this voltage too high? ive been running the pack for about six weeks( around 10 race days). the servos are pretty new JR 8711, the throttle servo being only a few race days old.

im thinking the rx might be bad. anyone else had this problem with this rx? thanks
