Default cooling fans

What cooling fans are you guys using? I'd like to add one to my tc4. As far as amp draw, what do you think would be the max appropriate amp draw from a fan?

I picked up one of those 3racing heat sink fan combos, it does not seem to do a thing. The heat sink fits loosely and the fan seems very weak. So I think I'm going to just add a nice high flowing fan over my motor and esc.

I bought one of the 3Racing fans and agree - its weak and seems to flow little air. The fans I've been using are from MegaMotorUSA. The 5v fan is 8cfm rated and it will deliver. They have 12v fans as well.

Fans are hard to find on their site - go to shop, then look for the alphabet below the image - click "F", fans start 3rd on this list.

I've not had a prob running 2 of these off y conn. I don't know what current they pull but the Quark125b and MM BECs haven't had probs.

The ones you are running are pulling .24 amps each. So you are pulling just under half an amp. That is a lot more than I was planning to use.

Thanks

Default another source for the same fans

umm, .24 is just under 1/4 amp, which is 240mah which is nothing. The fans work great and are cheap.

Are you gonna use it on a 17.5??? Run a fan if you want but a 17.5 shouldn't need a fan, a 7.5 might but not a 17.5..

Well as I add more boost(timing), I get more heat. Yea, I stay under the suggested temp, but I am getting close. I want more room just for just in case.

That's cool.. I don't run my my 17.5 that much so I guess I've never really pushed it to it's limit. Never needed to, I don't really belong in a 17.5 class. In my T4 with an Orion 17.5 it always ran cool (under 130) and it seemed to me that adding more gear only cost me bottom end torque. But like I said it was in a T4 not a TC so things could be different there. So don't listen to me..
