At the worlds most guys were running brushless and I would say between 4.5-5 ...? Just based on the photos posted on the net I didnt see any brushed motors..
I will be running 1/12th on a 1/8 medium large track and I recon a 4-4.5 wont be too much as the track is HUGE!!! The straight and sweeper is like 100 meters :P

I agree. I run 1/10 Pan car on large 1/8 track with a 3.5r Novak and is perfect for such a track. http://www.rctech.net/forum/attachme...-raceway-2.jpg
But on smaller tracks, it is way to much power and usually put in a 10.5 but that is just me. I can only imagine what a 1/12 with 4.5 do on a large track. Must be fun.

Hi, you can use what ever you want. The only problem is that power is nothing without control . So its pointless to have a low turn brushless running where you can just control the car... So you may be conservative and start with something like a 10.5 . I depends mainly on your track and grip I would say.

Hey guys just ordered a 9650 servo for my XII 12th and got a question about the servo case... How do I mount it on the servo mount as its got those two brackets on each sides where sits the 4 screws...
Do I need to cut them or what?
Thanks

Cleanest way I've done is to use an Exacto saw (or similar) followed by a few swipes with a fine sanding stick.
Next cleanest with a Dremel cutoff wheel followed by a few swipes with the sanding sticks.
Worst case scenario...a utility knife will do it...
