I plugged it into the receiver today ready for my next heat and noticed the throttle wouldnt respond to my inputs. pulled the shell off and saw smoke coming out of the top of the servo. now its dead and feels very tight and bound up when i move it by hand. i bought this on Friday night and had the guys at the hobby shop shorten the servo wires. a pro driver set my EPA before any usage occured. Will this be covered under warranty??

In most waranty papers it states that if the servo case has been opened or parts modified then any waranty would be void. As you have had the wires shorten you may have an issue with waranty but you can only ask.
