By the By,
There wasn't a dicussion about Slashes, everyone raced what they brung, and everyone had a good time.
Mike Coleman won the Slash Main, with his stock slash, and that was the end of all discussions....

chill freddy.
I was referring to finishing positions when Lir comes to our track and us being in the B main. Nothing about anyone being way faster or anything. A lot of us are close in 2wd limited buggy(murphy, nick, you,me,steve, coleman, travis). Makes the race more interesting then it use to be but it doesn't mean the results dont usually end up in about the same order just the gap has been narrowed a lot.
Like the last trophy race i did with buggy (13.5). All of the b main was on the same lap in qualifying. Doesn't mean 1st was way better then 8th. But those few seconds make a difference in finishing position. Thats about were I would put us now. I think I usually beat you even if now you all over my bumper (only remember you beating me once in buggy, you can probably take me in truck though). Heck you might even be faster now, been about 2 months since I have seen you run (you are the winter champ after all
).
as for when you beat me I gave you credit Freddy when it happened. You did beat me far and square. it was awhile ago, but I remember it cause it was before the ct race when I was running 13.5. I also admit I hit you going into the table section. what more do you want????????
you have gotten faster and now its fun to race with you or bust your balls(well usually more then today cause today you seem to take a little thing and take it personal). Wouldn't be fun to do that if either of us was like 3-4 laps faster then the other.
as for the other guys you meantioned. I would never say up there with them yet cause I dont ever plan on being as fast as proctor, kyle, mark or even John B(in that order too as long as kyle doesn't break, guess I will hear them take offence to that order now too).

Nothing needs to be brought up about Slash really, heads up starts are terrific, everyone is having a blast and most aren't taking it too seriously (me included!) I like running these just like the 1:1 big boys. Having a good start is key, almost more then not breaking. I finished second and a few times in the A Main i had to fight my way out of the pack and by that point Mike C had all the time in the world to build a lead I couldn't reel in.
As far as the brushless motors I am afraid it will open up a whole lot of excuses for people to run it in Spec...I try to keep an extra Titan around because they are cheap and who knows when they are going to blow. If we all agree on 17.5 brushless that is fine...some of us may have trouble running elsewhere and will have to swap back in a Titan/XL-5 which sucks. I'd rather just keep some spares. I am sure the only real advantage is the easier maintenance/longevity/runtime/etc and not performance but like the lipo debate no more drama needs to be added to RCHR racing.
Having a good continuous lipo, getting a good hole shot, being consistent and staying together are my top priorities. I would mention not bonking but Mike reeled me in after a few misteps within a few laps to challenge me several times. Not bringing the wrong TQ radio to the stand also helps out ALOT!

That is why MooCow and The Rust are running a DX3S...I had a moment of weakness at my shop and couldn't wait any longer!
Now my life is on ebay to cover the cost lolz!
