How often do you strip your truck all the way down for cleaning?

It has to be very dirty to do that. I just take out the electronics and use a hose.

You dont worry about the bearings in the axle carriers? Also, I seem to go through a ton of the dust boots for the ballstuds, do you run your slayer without them?

If it gets really bad, I'll tear it down once a year when the prime running season is over and wet weather sets in (winter here is usually rainy weather). If I don't get it that dirty, I'll do it every other season.

Don't use a hose, prefer to use a hand sprayer and toothbrush and let it soak to get the bad buildup off. Once I have crud broken down, more hand spraying gets it rinsed away. May take a few cycles of spraying and cleaning to get it clean, but this seems to agree with brgs and etc.

well i stip my truck down every 2 race days just for the reason you stated ...maintence..not so much the dirt just to check every part for any problems as for bashing trucks i guess it would depend on how hard you run it because it sucks to break in the heat of the moment
