Two things...
Who owns the sweet/pretty rare silver SRT8 Jeep? I want to race with my silver R/T Magnum lolz...
Second, can someone tell me a starting point for my final gear ratio for 2WD truck running a 3500vlx/magnum trans? I don't know where to start. My Brushed Slash likes stock 13 but BL is a totally different animal especially with a torquy VXL. Assuming I get good traction how high do I go without having to add gobs of weight to the front? I plan to use a 2C/20. Is 10.00 too low/high? I know a rule of thumb is run high enough to get a good amount of your top speed in the straight but these need alot of real estate to unwind. I saw how fast Kyle R. was on stock 13 gearing back at the Bash but Slash are huuuuge in comparison, much longer, heavier and I think a bit wider too. Maybe a good pound heavier.
Thanks truckies!
I too learn alot from you old salts at the track...Raul G. has offered alot of encouragement even when I am eating his dust. I feel better when I do something sportmanlike then when I win sometimes...just doing to right thing and not sweating the podium help me sometimes but othertimes I concentrate too much, lose my rhythm/pace and crap all over my lap. It happens, I have been prettty mad at myself and thrown mini fits in my own little world for rushing something or whatever and I start to resent the hobby. Since that time I broke and scrambled I learned alot about patience and just letting the pieces fall where they may. I can't forget r/c should be fun not stressful...I still have alot to learn which is cool.
At least my bucket ninja skills have improved exponentially haha
.
Sometimes marshalling is more fun then racing. Some of you guys keep me pretty busy lol
