2WD mod truck folks...
]
Not to get your secrets but can you guys point me in the direction of what compound/tire I should look for for the track? I am only familiar with proline holeshots, crimes and bows but I am open to suggestions.
Rims will either be Traxxas 12mm 2.2 or 17mm 2.2's.
Should I consider 1/8th buggy LPR's?

Thanks!

1. Each time I say "dirt oval, your race is up!", it takes 10 to 15 minutes to get the race started.

2. We always need volunteer corner marshals the next race. Nobody wants to corner marhshal to begin with with let alone volunteer for more.

3. Its always a second class for the 4 oval racers, so Kevin graves runs 4wd, John runs truck or buggy, George runs Sportsman. No matter how I organize the races, I lose a corner marshal for the next race and need a volunteer to cover the spot. See reason 2.

Jconcepts Carvers in the front, with Jconcepts Double Dee's in the rear are always a safe bet.

Speaking of dirt oval, what classes do you guys run? When I get my new 2wd buggy (waiting for the rb5 SP) I am going to convert my Losi. Late model acceptable?

Hey Mark,

Don't get discouraged sir, you know who your core racers are, and how we roll and so far, I haven't seen any of those core racers, complaining about the Slash Spec Class.

I just hope we can keep this SC series, FUN!!!!

Old School,

I've been running, Proline Edge M3 in the Front and JConcepts Double Dees in the rear, and they've worked for me since day one....

I've used Holeshots, they're good also, but I rather use Double Dees.

Mostly the guys run EDM and the Losi Slider, late model is fine too.

Do you need the same amount of marshals for oval that you do in reg heats?

Tell you what...if I am in the house I'll take oval whether or not I raced the previous heat. My favorite spot (contractors would call the crapper bucket) isn't available for ovals so you tell me where to go. Perhaps my second favorite spot...that nice concrete/blocked spot where I ripped moocow to shreds practicing on oval haha. Heck I'll even sweep for you too lol. I promise! As long as i am not running it I'll help you out.

Mark can you pm me a price on DD 2.2 rears and maybe those M3 Edge fronts mounted on basic smoothies or something? i may consider those. 12mm hex if you have...

Just tired of the back and forth over spec class rules.

The class became popular because the Traxxas Slash looks and drives like the real CORR trucks.

The points series will be done differently for the CORR class. There will be no qualifiers in the CORR class. Instead, each heat is a main event. On Wednesdays there will be three 6 minutes mains, Saturday will have four 6 minute mains (one main being a throwout race or something to that effect, I'll figure out later)

First place in each main is worth 1 point
Second place in each main is worth 2 points
Third place in each main is worth 3 points
etc...

The points from each main will be added and the driver with the lowest amount of points is that nights winner. This system is based off finishing position, not time/laps like the other classes.

Anybody familiar with the old Reedy Race of Champions will be familiar with the system.

The race starts will be like they were at the Slash bash race, trucks on the line start at tone.
