Savage 25 problems
#1
So i bought a used savage 25 off ebay, with an after market head and some other mods. the guy said he only had it for about 6 months, and only ran about a gallon of fuel thru it. well i get the thing, and the truck looks beat to hell, one of the fins is bent on the head, and the roto start shit out. i replaced it with a pull start, but now the throttle is sticking. wet servo maybe? it was kind of sloppy out today. and if so, any fix other than replacement? i blew it out with an air gun.

If he shaded the truth about its condition and the pics were not recent and showed the condition of what you received, documant it and file a paypal claim - at least get some n=money bak if not all of and send it back.
Buying used nitro is really a crapshoot, most are beat hard and thats part of why they wind up for sale. I'm surprised its running at all....

ya ebay is a really big crapshoot like duster_360 said. i have bought dozens of parts off ebay for my savage 25 some are used and some are new from hobby shops.
for the sticky throttle.. pull off your carb and pull it apart, like all the jets and stuff and clean it with some kind of solvent and blow the crap out of it with air and make sure it is dry inside. then put everything back together and set the jets back to factory (flush with the housing) and go from there. pull the return spring off too and move it by hand, then do the above as i mentioned, and it should work. also make sure the linkage is not binding or catching on anything. if not i'd probably just replace the guts in the carb. it sounds like a carb problem to me.
