Default Hyperion EOS0606i AC/DC

Just got my charger from Amain today plugged in a 1700mah NIMH reciever pack discharged it then started charging it at 1.5 amps the battery took 1447ma then the charger turned off. I figured ok maybe it has some type of shutoff when its charged or a safety for heat but i touched the battery and it was still cold then i unplugged the charger and waited a while to see if the power supply was hot. After about an hour or so I plugged it back in and it still doesnt work anybody else had a problem like this?

Update: Just hooked it up to a 12v battery and the thing works, apparently the power supply is junk. Not a very good first impression if you ask me.

That bites, def not the way to start a relationship.

Contact A-Main and see if they'll send you another - at least you can use the DC side til you get this resolved.

Yeah i called Amain, after a 1/2 hour sitting on hold then getting disconnected i got an RMA and im just getting a refund. I think im going to go with a triton eq seems very similar but max amps is 5 rather than the hyperion's 6, i doubt ill ever charge anything at that high of amperage anyways. The only thing that sucks is that i got a defective item and i have to pay to ship it back.

I know that seems like a raw deal, but my 1st Hyperion 0610iNet came unassembled and I couldn't even turn it on. One of the end panels wasn't attached and there was a dozen or so small parts loose in the box. They are great chargers though and I use 2 of them. I charge a123 pacs at 10amps and can be ready to run again in less than 25min.

I got the same deal - I paid to ship it back.
