Default Dead servo?

Hello everybody,

I've been running my electric 8ight on Wednesday (on a wet track). At some point I noticed that it had difficulties to turn left.
With the battery unplugged, servo (Futaba BLS451) just goes in one direction and refuses to go backwards. It just looks stuck, even pushing hard...

Help

Make sure all the drive and steering components are free. You may have to take the servo out of the car and check it induvidually. Interested to know though...

I have had the same thing happen with a BLS452. In the end I opened the servo and found on of the gears had a few teeth stripped, so it would not activate the potentiometer and the teeth locked up between the remaining good teeth, which in turn stopped the servo from moving in one direction when the battery was unplugged.
