Default 7955TG Noise

I hooked up my servos (two 7955TG) using 4 duracell batteries, while I wait for my lipo to come in, and the servos are making a chirping noise. A real high pitch sound that gets louder under load. Is this normal, or is something wrong?
Thanks

I am pretty sure the chirping noise you refer to is just the sound that is common with digital servos. Analog servos are quiet but digitals have a little hum to them and under a load the noise tends to increase slightly. But worry not, even if there is a problem hitec has excellent customer service and I am sure they will take care of you.

The high pitch noise is normal for digital servos.

Using alkaline batteries is not recommended as they cannot provide the power needed for the high power servos due to the high internal resistance of that type of cell.

hi tech said all thats normal, also i asked them what i should run for batteries.
if you were to use our HS-7955TG servos for both throttle and steering, and use them with a 2 cell lipo without a regulator, you will find that the torque at 383oz/in and a speed of .11 sec is going to be plenty for the rigors of 1/8th scale racing. Add to that the fact that you have titanium gears in there, you have a servo that is bullet proof.
