Hello all, i am new to the forums... I am back in R/C after a 12 year break. Technology sure has changed. Anyways, i just picked up a Spektrum DX3R and one thing confuses me, On the main screen the Brake Trim way at the bottom, what does that Adjust? Is it functional on a nitro car? Reason i'm confused is because i'm use to adjusting brake trim using the throttle trim controll.

You can check out this thread. It's an older thread, but maybe help out. I have a DX3R as well, but, just getting used to it , setting it up.
Hope this helps.

Push the scroller selector in and scroll down to Travel.
Highlight TH and push the scroller selector in
Scroll down to highlight the twin 100%'s and push the scroller selector in.
This screen adjusts the OVERALL travel of your throttle.
The BR on the main screen sets the amount of travel within the limits you set in the Travel screen. So if you set your travel to 85% in that menu screen as an example...
At 100% on the Main menu you'll have 85% of total travel OR 100% of 85% travel. If you set it to 50% on the main menu you have 50% of 85% travel, or roughly 42 1/2% of total possible travel. It can get convoluted but does this make sense?

It's just the amount of brakes you will have. It's common to turn the brakes down some, especially 2wd offroad, to a level where you are not always locking up the rear tires and spinning out. Adjust to available traction basically.

It's not a brake trim, it's a travel adjust. It dictates how much travel your brake has. It is a percentage of the travel set in the sub-menu. Here's what I mean...
Push the scroller selector in and scroll down to Travel.
Highlight TH and push the scroller selector in

That helps a lot. thanks
