I've been using the Hyperion EOS0606i for a few months and I'm very happy with it. I charge both my Lipo and all my other NiMH batteries with it and I like the way it auto senses the voltage of the battery and charges accordingly, it's very easy to use.
I'm planning on cutting off the alligator clips and installing a cigarette lighter adapter so I can plug it into the power outlets in my SUV. So far I've only used it on AC power.

You could do the same so you could switch between the leads and the cig lighter.

I like the part about not having a long set of leads connected if you don't need it, less tangle. It actually would have been kinda cool to just have a couple sockets on the side with two cords, one 120v (computer style) and one 12v (??? style). It would add cost though.
How many people use a big battery (car, wheel chair, etc.) for power in the pits as opposed to a gas powered generator? I'm considering it for places I can't plug into. It's soooo much cheaper/easier/quieter than a generator. Most the time I bum off my friend's generator....... but if he doesn't show......, well that's the reason for connecting into my SUV socket.

Good idea, what connector did you use, Deans or ???

I did this to my chargers with the standard Tamiya-style plugs I had laying around from replacing them with Deans on various things. It's only 6A max, so those connectors can handle it no problem.
I have a heavy-duty car battery I use to charge sometimes when there's nothing else around. It's got plenty of capacity. One time we had four chargers on it at once.

I was looking through the online instruction manual for the DUO to find out if you could charge a 2s1p and 3s1p with the same discharge, brand and mah simultaneously to make a 5s1p. It wasn't clear if it could but it did say a 7s could be charged via two separate packs simultaneously. Has anyone tried the 5s scenario?

Thanks for the feedback.
I'm thinking to use the polarized 2 pin connector that Battery Tender uses as I have a bunch of stuff already setup for that style. They also make all the other stuff I would need, such as the cigarette lighter adapter and extension cords using that plug.

BTW, I got home last night and realized the AC power cord was setup using a computer style socket and cord, DOH, my bad.
I was talking to Sam at Hobby Peeps last night and he recommended the wheel chair batteries as they are way lighter than the HD deep cell marine/car type batteries and still have more than enough capacity to charge a bunch of Lipos. He uses them out in the field when he's flying his planes. I have a 400w DC to AC converter already that I can use for powering my soldering station if I need to.
